If You Answered “Yes” To Any Of These Questions, You Are In The Right Place!
Golfers are notorious for searching the internet for the next best tip or exercise that will “solve” their problems.
Many golfers suffer through aches and pains because the believe either rest will solve the problem or they modify their swing to accommodate for it.
If that’s happening to you – you’re definitely not alone – I hear this type of thing all the time.
In fact, golfers are one of the most common patients we see at Vertical Sports Physical Therapy
What are TPI Assessments?
TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) assessments are undoubtedly one of the best tools for identifying how your movement patterns as a golfer impact your swing. While TPI assessments are available in various places, the approach at Vertical Sports Physical Therapy goes beyond the basics. Here, the assessment is paired with advanced tools like force plates to provide a deeper understanding of your movement and performance.
Through these force plates, we can evaluate where your force generation comes from and whether it’s symmetrical. For example, we assess whether your lead leg is generating enough force through the ground during your downswing or if there are limitations in hip rotation causing issues like hanging back in your swing. Golfers know that overcoming these challenges is essential for improving swing mechanics and consistency.
Many golfers – up to 90% – struggle with these issues, and while training aids can help, the root cause often lies in the body’s inability to move correctly. This is where TPI assessments shine. At Vertical Sports PT, we conduct a full-body assessment of your mobility, strength, and functional movement using TPI’s proven techniques. We then incorporate force plates and tools like dynamometry to measure your actual force output, providing valuable insights into how your performance compares with professional and collegiate golfers.
These comprehensive assessments are designed to identify the barriers holding you back in your golf swing. Once these physical limitations are addressed, you’ll be better equipped to work with a swing coach to fine-tune your technique. With improved mobility, strength, and movement patterns, you’ll be set up to hit the ball further, with greater accuracy, than ever before.
This is the most thorough TPI assessment you’ll find in the area, and we are confident in its effectiveness.
